Preserving the Past

alyssa pic

As part of her B.N. Duke Carolina Summer of Service, Alyssa Greenhouse interviewed residents in the Conway, South Carolina area about historic places, events, and people. She produced fourteen videos in an effort to preserve local history. This video collection, Treasures of Horry County, was made in partnership with the Horry County Historical Preservation Society and the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor Commission.

One of Alyssa’s videos highlights a small section of beach with great historical significance. Take a look.
